Enefiok Peter

Enefiok Peter brings more than 30 years of strategic leadership in audit, risk management, and corporate governance. He began his career in 1991 at The Office of the Auditor General in Uyo, Nigeria, before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 1994, where he rose to Manager and headed the Port Harcourt Office. During his time at PwC, Enefiok was seconded to Tanzania for two years, leading major client engagements in Tanzania and South Africa.

In 2004, Enefiok joined Oando Plc, a leading West African energy company, as Head of Internal Control and Audit, overseeing operations in Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, and Liberia. He later joined Diageo Plc’s Global Audit and Risk team in 2008, where he executed assignments across 14 countries on six continents, gaining significant expertise in process review, risk management, and corporate governance.

In 2010, Enefiok founded Edem Peters & Co, which merged with J. Walter Udoeyop & Co in 2025 to form Peter Walters & Co (Chartered Accountants). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Enefiok holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria, and a Bachelor of Science (Ed) in Business Education (Accounting) from the University of Uyo, Nigeria.
